Introduction
The last six months at Alpha Social Media has been full of growth, challenge, and small but mighty victories! As an Organic Social Specialist and Account Manager, I tend to wear a lot of different hats, which I love. From content creation to helping the team, it's always a fun adventure each day at the office. This isn't about braggin by any means - but celebrating client success, creativity, organization, and progress.
TikTok Video Virality
The first win for me was having a TikTok video go viral. Going viral isn't an important factor to good content, but it is always a good feeling to see a video do very well. The reason I think the video went viral was because of who the video was made for, and the relatability of what it was about. This helped the client's TikTok account grow in engagement, brand visibility and followers, which was the biggest win for me.
Building Brand Awareness
When we started with one specific client, they had around 0 brand awareness on social media platforms. Brand awareness is not an overnight boss, but a long-term boss. It took time, but the social media presence for this client grew with our time together which was exciting to see. It felt like from zero to gaining recognition! I figured out what content worked best for the growing audience and doubled down, and it started to work.
Balancing The Chaos
A major win for me in the last six months is learning how to manage having my own set of clients on top of account management. With being an Organic Social Specialist and Account Manager, I have improved my organization by using new tools/systems, and developing a schedule for myself. Wins aren't always about content, but also having structure and learning how to enhance it. A top hack that I use is Milanote. I would not survive without it!
Photoshoots
From the planning stage of a photoshoot, to the shoot itself, to editing after the fact, learning the process of photoshoots has been exciting. I enjoy capturing client moments so getting to fully be involved with this process is a major win! With planning, and shooting content with a professional camera the content is elevated which sets the client apart from competitors, and the content is more exciting to look at when you are a potential customer.
Conclusion
Over the last six months, life has been full of opportunity, growth and learning new things. One thing that I have learned with my time at Alpha is progress is also more important than perfection. A win is a win, and it is so important to celebrate the little things. All of these wins have taught me that growth is always happening, and when you put your mind to things, it tends to work out.
