1. Your site feels outdated

I love early 2000s internet. But if we’re being real, the appeal is all nostalgia. If your site looks like it was built in 2005, visitors will assume your business isn’t up to date. Design trends change constantly. This doesn’t mean we need a new site every time some new design trend pops up, but updates every few months and a refresh every few years is best practice.

2. It’s not great on mobile

This one is non-negotiable. Over half of global web traffic is coming from mobile devices. Not accounting for mobile users is alienating half of your visitors. Things should load fast, text should be readable, users shouldn’t have to scroll right or left or zoom in to view content. A frustrated user is not a returning one. Your site should prioritize mobile functionality.

3. Making simple updates is a headache

If you’re needing to reach out to a developer or tech expert to switch out pictures or text, your backend is not working for you. Your site should be easy and flexible to maintain. ASM designs with the client in mind. If your current setup doesn’t allow for updates, come talk to us.
